IT Inkubator GmbH is a company of Max Planck Innovation GmbH and Saarland University Wissens- und Technologietransfer GmbH (WuT). The task of the IT Incubator is to develop outstanding ideas, technologies as well as research results from the fields of information and communication technology (ICT) through an incubation process, to found new companies (start-ups) for commercialization, or to grant licenses to new ICT technologies for further development and commercialization to established industrial companies.
Based within the Start-up Center of Saarland University with its international research facilities, we are exactly where information and communication technologies are created. The heart of our team beats digitally: Equipped with vast experience in a dynamic environment, we know how to develop and drive technology-based business models.

At the heart of the IT Incubator is our unique incubation program, designed to meet the exact needs of high-tech entrepreneurs. Whether you've just started thinking about building a business or have already found your ideal co-founders, this modular program will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to finally get started. We've vetted more than 100 startups and helped many of these teams successfully launch their startups. We're fully equipped to help you overcome obstacles and help you jumpstart your business. In addition, we provide your business with pre-seed assistance to avoid financial bottlenecks before you enter your seed round.

Funding from the State Chancellery
The State Chancellery of Saarland supports the IT Inkubator GmbH. The funding is an important building block for the stabilization of successful structures for the establishment and support of companies in their early stages. At the same time, preparations for the future development of the IT Inkubator into a venture builder are to be supported.
"With the funding, a building block has been created to be able to significantly expand and further professionalize our activities in the future. With this, we want to transfer start-up ideas into concrete companies as well as accompany them in their development. The planned further development into a venture builder in the technology sector is also linked to the goal of leveraging additional start-up and growth potential. In addition, a stronger cooperation with all actors in the region is planned in order to make optimal use of all opportunities and synergy effects in the Saarland and to implement them entrepreneurially," says Ralf Zastrau, Director of Entrepreneurship at Saarland University.
